Officers, Board of Directors & Advisory Board OFFICERS		Focus On Board Member Marian Harvey serves on the Board of Directors of LAHq and is Co-Chair of the Economic Development and Environmental Committee. She is active in expanding LAHq’s presence in the emerging high tech industry in the Greater Los Angeles area. MARION HARVEY Marian is a partner in the Environmental Department of the law firm of Latham & Watkins. Her practice focuses on real estate development, land use entitlements and related environmental matters, with a particular emphasis on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), development agreements and General Plan and zoning matters for entertainment and resort projects, commercial and industrial projects, and long-term land use plans for municipal and institutional projects throughout Southern California. Marian’s interest in environmental matters began when she was an undergraduate at UC San Diego and, later, an environmental consultant in San Diego. Marian and her husband, Andy Harvey, are Los Angeles natives. They returned to LA from San Diego in 1995 in the hopes of reducing Marian’s "commuting distance" to Latham’s LA office. Andy is the founder and President of eLink Commerce, an internet startup located in Pasadena, which specializes in "sending oil through the internet." Marian and Andy have settled in San Marino, where they are raising their three children, Claire, Frank and Grace.	TED TANNER, AlA Ted Tanner brings more than 20 years of professional real estate development, architecture, planning and urban design experience involving unique public/private partnerships aimed at revitalizing the urban core. He believes the Staples Center district will become a world class entertainment center and primary entertainment destination for downtown Los Angeles and the region. Mr. Tanner was Vice President of Development for Catellus Development Corpor- ation. He acquired the 50 acre landmark Los Angeles Union Station and completed a master plan and entitlements for a 7 million square foot mixed use development program. He managed, from conception to completion the $310 million Gateway Intermodal Transit Center and MTA Headquarters. PATRICK GIBSON Mr. Patrick Gibson is Vice President of Kaku Associates, a transportation planning and engineering firm located in Santa Monica, California. Twenty of his 30 years of traffic and transportation consulting experience have been spent in Los Angeles. He prepared the Parking and Circulation Management Plan for the Staples Center -a plan that includes high tech solutions as well as basic visitor commun- ication techniques to ensure a successful visit to downtown Los Angeles and the Staples Center. Mr. Gibson has served as Disney’s transpor- tation planner for the past 15 years including the ongoing expansion of The Disneyland Resort. KEVIN MURPHY Kevin Murphy brings to Los Angeles his expertise and worldwide experience with such projects as the following: • General Motors Place, the venue for NHL hockey, NBA basketball and major entertainment events in Vancouver; • Fxpo 86, the extremely successful $1.5 billion World Exposition developed on 300 acres in Vancouver in 1986; • the expansion and development of Whistler Resort, the #1 ski resort in North America.
