THE SUNSET MILLENNIUM PROJECT

LAHq Committees
Cover the Issues

Neighborhood empowerment, new state and local government finance recommendations, area planning commission talks and the formation of a new Charter School in mid downtown were all discussed at various committee meetings held over the last few months.

Board members Lynn Kious, Ed Casey, and Teresa Powell discuss plans for future programs.

These breakfast meetings are open to our members and prove to be excellent opportunities to meet face-to-face with government officials and policy makers, ask pertinent questions and press for explicit answers.

Several upcoming meetings will explore the role of area planning commissions set up through the new city charter.

Watch for these committee program dates or call the chairs for further information on these important breakfast meetings. Please see page three in this newsletter for the committee list.
