During the bus trip Hal Bastian of the Downtown Center Business Improvement District (BID) kept the conversation lively and informative. The first stop on the tour was Santee Court where Alan Epstein of MJW Investments discussed the surprising demographics of downtown residents.

Next we visited Pegasus, a KOR Group/ Kennedy Wilson project. This newly reopened 1960’s office building was transformed into luxurious modern urban apartments. The final stop was the Gas Company Lofts. Each project has units that are now open and available for lease.

Joining us on the tour were a number of City officials including Kevin Keller, Office of Councilmember Cindy Miscikowski; Greg Fischer, Office of Councilmember Jan Perry;

The next LAHq economic development field trip was to the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel on March 31st to discuss development in that part of town. John Given of CIM Group and Helmi Hisserich of CRA Hollywood discussed Hollywood’s revitalization. After the program, participants enjoyed a fun-filled networking reception and the opportunity to demonstrate their bowling skills (on a purely optional basis).
