MESSAGE

For the past ten years that I have been a member of the Los Angeles Headquarters Association, I have read other president's messages. As I started to write my own first message, I began to focus on how proud I am to be President in this 40th year and to reflect on why I have stayed active.

Primarily, I enjoy being a part of an organization that has the ability to positively influence the future of Los Angeles, and has a history of doing so. I am glad to be with others who care about our city and who want to make it even better. I also found the membership to be friendly and inviting.

Over the past year, our general membership programs focused on a range of topics including the entertainment industry and other new developments downtown, the development of Constellation Place, the future of Marina del Rey, and what money partners look for and why.

Our members find great networking opportunities, informative and stimulating programs, and an Annual Awards Luncheon that is one of the hottest tickets in town. We can also take pride in supporting education and community through our work at the Utah Street School - - providing financial support, computer donations and other technological support and a Christmas lunch with gifts and entertainment, etc.

We all have the opportunity to consider joining a wide variety of professional and civic organizations, and many of us are involved in several. What sets LAHq apart is the quality of its programs and
